I am honored to be speaking at the 7th Annual Life Lessons Luncheon to benefit The Elisa Project. Below is all the information on the event. I hope you will consider joining us.
The 7th Annual Life Lessons Luncheon to benefit The Elisa Project will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 11:30 am, at The Hilton Anatole Hotel. Chaired by Robin Bagwell and Jan Osborn, this much-anticipated event helps to raise awareness about the problem of eating disorders and provides funds to support the programs and services provided by The Elisa Project, which will touch the lives of more than 30,000 people in 2011.
Our speaker for this year’s luncheon is noted author and educator Brad Lamm, best known for helping people make life-enhancing change on The Dr. OZ Show. In long-term recovery from crystal meth, drug and alcohol addiction, Brad has struggled with binge eating and bulimia as well. According to Brad, “My family foundation was a mom struggling with … bulimia for four decades. I fell fast and hard into my own eating disorder while in college. Finally breaking free from it led to healing and wholeness.” Brad believes that human beings are constantly changing and remarkably resilient – no matter how broken or discouraged they may feel.
Brad is Founder and CEO of Change Institute & Intervention Specialists, a crisis intervention group. For those with serious addiction problems, including compulsive overeating and obesity, Brad has found that a circle of family and friends is uniquely poised to offer support, accountability and structure from a beginning point of love and honesty. With the consent of the addict, Brad works with family members, co-workers, partners, employers and friends to develop and implement a plan of change and recovery model. Previously a network-affiliate news anchor, Brad is also a Creator & Producer of the docu-series Addicted to Food on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network. In November 2011, his Blueprint to Quit: Smoking launches at more than 4,300 Walmart locations throughout the United States.
Sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are available and range from $2,500 to $25,000. Regular tables may be purchased for $1,500 and individuals tickets for $150.
